Virtual staging comparison
Listing Curator vs Virtual Staging AI
Virtual Staging AI usually costs less per image: its monthly plans listed in October 2026 run $16 for 6 photos to $79 for 150, or about $0.53 to $2.67 each. Listing Curator runs $1.38 to $3.99 a photo. At the smallest sizes the two are close ($2.90 a photo in a Listing Curator 10-pack vs $2.67 on the 6-photo plan), and from about 20 photos a month up Virtual Staging AI costs less. Listing Curator offers one-time packs whose credits never expire, a labeled MLS copy and the original in every download, and video, carousel and website tools in the same account. If you only need staged images on a steady monthly schedule, Virtual Staging AI is likely the better value.

Is a monthly plan or a one-time pack better for you?
This is the real decision between these two. If you stage about the same number of photos every month, Virtual Staging AI's plans are hard to beat on price. Even the $16 plan, kept all year, is $192 for up to 72 photos.
If your listings come in bursts, look closer. A 10-photo vacant home in a single month is more than the 6-photo plan covers, so you'd need a bigger plan that month. Check Virtual Staging AI's terms for unused photos and plan changes before you count on them. Listing Curator packs work differently: buy 25 photos for $59 and use them whenever listings come in, since credits never expire.
Quick way to decide
Add up the photos you staged in the last 12 months and note your busiest month. Steady volume points to a monthly plan. Uneven volume points to packs. The staging cost calculator prices the Listing Curator side.
What comes with each download?
Every Listing Curator download includes three files: the full 4K PNG, an MLS copy labeled “Virtually staged” in the corner and sized to 2,048 px on the long side, and the original photo. Re-downloading is free.
Why it matters: as of October 2026, California AB 723 requires a disclosure on or next to an altered image plus a link to the original, and MLS rules such as CRMLS Rule 11.5.2 ask for the unaltered original to be shown next to the staged one. Having the label and the original in the same download saves a step on every listing. Rules vary, so check your state, MLS and broker. Our MLS photo requirements guide covers sizes and limits.
We didn't find a labeled copy or bundled original listed on Virtual Staging AI's pricing page. That doesn't mean they don't offer one, so ask. If you use their images, the free MLS photo labeler can add the label.
Choose Virtual Staging AI if…
- Lowest monthly cost is your top priority.
- You stage a steady number of photos every month.
- You only need staged images, not video, social posts or property pages.
- You stage around 150 photos a month on your own; its $79 plan is about $0.53 a photo.
Choose Listing Curator if…
- You'd rather buy credits once and use them over months, with no expiry.
- You want the labeled MLS copy and original in every download.
- You want to fix one detail by typing a sentence instead of re-running the whole image.
- You stage whole homes and want one matching style across the set with whole-listing staging.
- You also want photo fixes, listing video, carousels or a property website in one place.
- You run a team and want a shared credit pool and one bill on a business plan.
Which is better for a team or brokerage?
Virtual Staging AI's listed plans top out at $79 a month for 150 photos. We didn't find team features such as seats or shared billing on its pricing page, so ask if that matters to you.
Listing Curator business plans give a brokerage team one shared credit pool, seats and one bill: $299 a month for 120 photos, $599 for 300 or $999 for 600. Property managers can buy a $99 per-property package (10 photos, 6 slide exports and a property website for a year). On cost per photo alone, Virtual Staging AI is still lower. Listing Curator’s individual monthly plan ($1.38 a photo) also costs less per photo than any of its team plans. The case for a team plan is simpler admin: shared credits, seats and one invoice.
Switching from Virtual Staging AI: what to know
- Time it to your billing cycle. Check their plan terms before you cancel so you use what you paid for.
- Compare like for like. Run the same three originals through both tools in the closest style. Listing Curator’s 11 styles include Scandinavian, Farmhouse, Mid-century and Luxury.
- Pick the right mode. Furnish fills an empty room, Refresh keeps what works and replaces the rest, and Clear and restage removes existing furniture first.
- Size your first purchase. If you averaged 6 photos a month, a $29 pack of 10 or a $59 pack of 25 is a reasonable start. Credits never expire.
